When twitter just isn't enough
Blah, followed a link from a link and found that they hacked out reference to Japanese culture in Etrian Oddessy II for a more...European feel.... WHYYYYY!!! I can tell you the people playing the game aren't going to know the difference between some ancient Japanese story guy and some ancient German story guy. Heck, some people will know more about Japanese guy because they eat, breath, sleep, smell, bathe, and learn Japanese......or.....at least that's what they want you to think (nani kawaii neko desu!). >_> I mean if there is not difference...why try. Especially if you already have Samurai in the game.
Another thing that's a bith touchy with me is DRM. With upcoming release of Spore I feel that many people are going to find the game crashing for no apparent reason, and it's all going to be due to the DRM EA says is on the disk. I'm going to pirate the game myself if it seems to be any good...Buccaneer that baby! Why? DRM...that's why. The last real game I bought was Viva Pinata and I just know that was filled with happy fun time M$ DRM. Now in the day, it's all about hijacking your DVD-R to prevent it from buring...anything (yes there is DRM that does this).
It's almost saying...here is your cutlass and hat, have fun me mayties.
I know you asking, why did I BUY Viva Pinata. Well it was $30 and it was the only game that made me want to get a 360. Considering they are putting those titles on PC...no worries there.
I guess a final parting shot is this thread I found why looking over the many BJD forums out there. Some talking about Elitism and how they are NOT elitist if they prefer Volks only or Expensive Dolls only. Uhm..excuse me...YES that's elitist. An elitist is one who is elite.
1. practice of or belief in rule by an elite.
2. consciousness of or pride in belonging to a select or favored group.
This is belief is "rule by elite", these people want the Volks and other EDs (Expensive Dolls) as the leader the better the elite of the other dolls and by not owning these doll makes you NOT elite.
Simply put, YOU ARE AN ELITIST if you put one set of anything over another in it's set and then think that you are not good, or worthy or elite if you don't have that top anything.
No ifs, ans, or buts. The dictionary has spoken. Don't want to be thought of as elite, then got off your high horse and admit that the other dolls are just as good as the Volks and EDs. heck some of those EDs are even worthy to be on top, simply by the lack of customer support, poor quality control and poor features in those dolls themselves. However since you paid an arm a leg and kidney for it...it must be good right?
In that news, I'm finding my Dollzone body to be the best doll body I own, even outstripping the Domuya by much.
