Big fucking YAY!

Well, my DVD writer might be fucked....

Yup the one I paid $500 might be a piece of garbage...the warrenty has run out on it...damn companies now a days give only like 1 year warrenties..and of course the thing dies not to long after that...

Well, I was tooling along, burning a DVD today when I got a failed error in Nero...Damn I thought..wasted DVD... Not really so..6 episodes were screwed (one was my own fault) SO, no problem I'll just burn 2 supplimental CDs...
The first one burnt just fine...
THe second got to 56% then bufferunderan...damn..
Burnt a second one in the HP program....it just got to 98% then froze...
Then I went back into Nero to see if it was a problem reading the HD...I simulated it this time.. not 1% into the actual burning it fails...tried it again with less files..same thing..
So now I'm Scandisking and Defragging..MAYBE..just maybe that is the cause even though it's never done this before...if that doesn't work then I'll have to waste another $500 to get and new DVD burner... Though I'm going to buy a new CD burner at SCAD on my tuition money..yeah I'll get ripped off but HEY..if the DVD burner fails again..I can still burn CDs...

Any ideas on good brands of DVD burners..DVD+Rs only please.. they are the true DVD burnables..the -Rs don't work for some reason I hear...


Yeah..just 3 days before I go back to SCAD....
