Right, I know that. And back before that, people were killing others in the name of religion. That wasn't right either. Oh, wait, they still do that. No history lessons, please. Maybe you should be talking to them instead?
I won't get into a comment war, but I will say this: It was one roach. You like roaches, I'm sure you know how many offspring those things can have at a time. I don't share my living space with bugs. I'm not having the thing possibly crawl all over my face (because it was in my bed, mind you) because it's a living thing. I don't hate animals or anything, but I don't live with bugs. Not knowingly. Does that make me a bad human being? Maybe. But don't jump down my throat because I fear them and you love them to death.
And you can't tell me you've never stepped on a bug in the street. Let me guess, you zigzag, right? Unless you can tell me that, your argument flies out the window. You'll have killed what you feel has such a huge right to live. And let me say, I do too--I don't touch bugs outside my room. But once they come in here, that's it. So don't try to make me look evil. I live in New York City, lots of bugs here. I pass up more chances to kill bugs than you know.
Listen hon, to each his own. If you're not going to be friends with people who kill roaches, you're going to find yourself passing up a LOT of friendships. That's what I meant by "I'm not the only one".
That said, enjoy your life! I personally don't have a desire to be even slightly a part of it anymore. ^_^
