Mav's anime reviews

Continuing....
Trinity Blood - After watching episode 4, I can say this is a good solid vampire anime with sexy male androids...who do sexy male android things...like shoot people :D~~~.
Zipang - After Episode 6, I can say that his is a real good anime about "Who's the enemy now". A 21st century IJN (Japanese) battleship (destroyer?) gets sent back to the WWII era and then has to cope out in the middle of the pacific surrounded by both sides. It a real good one for, the US are they now our enemy? What do we do? Who do we trust? So far BOTH sides have shot at them, so technically BOTH sides are the enemy now.
Emma - It's still good, and now it's gotten even more..."heartwrenching" since the father is now moving in to force Will to pick someone to marry, and he won't accept anyone below his social status. Poor Will. :(
LOVELESS - I LIKE the kitty guy with glasses! Poor him for getting turned down... It's all about the ears >:D I guess Soubi is a mature..."experienced" person. Mustard Sandwich!!!! XD I gotta remember that one!!! Anyone want to be my Sandwhich XD!! I have a feeling this thing is less about plot and more about young kitty boys and older uhm...University students. I mean come on.. "I'm the first on your speeddial" "I like to get e-mail too." The guy is an internet stalker...I swear it!! Thats it! Soubi is definatly a perv...no doubt. This whole thing is about the sexcapades of Soubi the perv.

New...
Bleach - Opening song...really annoying!  It reminds a little of Tactics, so far it's funny. Ghosts can trip and fall? Overall, it's OK, but it doesn't have the draw that Tactics does. Also, this is the mysterious anime that the character design for Microman Deimos came from
Honey & Clover - The opening is FREAKY!!! O_O *wields baseballbat* I'll NEVER eat shrimp again. Lest to say whoever thought of the opening...WAS ON CRACK! However the anime does ring true...college students will NEVER pass up a free meal. I has a nice feel of Cafe Kichijouji (Or was it Ichijouji...I think it had both titles at one time) I'm not sure where it's headed, but that Hagu really looks like an attempt to feed the loli-con's, 18 and she looks like THAT....riiiiight.

I need to see more Trinity Blood, but the first two episodes felt flat to me, but with some potential.

Haven't seen Zipang, it sounds like a response to the old 80's movie The Final Countdown, in which the USS Nimitz is sent back to before the attack on Pearl Harbor--a film that didn't go over too well in Japan for some strange reason.

I tried some Emma but it didn't quite click for me. Close, but not quite. Need to see more Loveless, I've really enjoyed it so far. Bleach never really sounded up my alley so I haven't seen any. I'd agree on Honey and Clover except that it's based on a jousei manga, so I don't think that was the *original* intention regarding Hagu. No idea if that's true for the anime or not, though. I know the pics I've seen of the manga covers tend to feature Hagu and the drawing style on her seems a lot more shoujo/jousei style than in the anime, giving her a more doll-like appearance.

Oh yeah, the new mecha show Eureka7 deosn't look half-bad. You might like the high male-to female ratio in it, too (and so far the few females that I've seen aren't all hanging out of their costumes...). :)

The first episode is kinda odd, because they never go back and redress what happened, the second one is the same way. It's supposed to introduce you to Rozen Kreuz and the way they operate, it also sets up the odd relationship between Tres and Abel. 3-4 are a two-parter that actually involves a continuing character and 5 is an informational one about character pasts and who's-who in the Vatican.

I can't remember too much about Final Countdown other than I think it involved a older couple that was non-military. Which is what killed it for me. Zipang feels better than Final Countdown in the fact they factor in the feelings of the crew and the guy they haul up IS military. (I also can't remember if the Nimitz tried to be neutral or if they attacked Japan back...)

Loveless is fun, though I stand by my one line description of "sexcapades of Soubi" :D. Bleach is one of those, seems to be typical human but he's not really and he becomes a better than (any other)Shinigami. Kinda like YuGoOh where Yuugi is always more powerful than the other guy.
I'm just saying that because I have no idea why she looks like that, or why the guys are falling in love with her, (kinda creepy if you think about it). And I'm still not eating any shrimp *baseballbat¶noiaO__O*
