Ah Controversy

Well, everyone seems to be embroiled over GTA and it's alleged "highly pornographic" sex scene.

1. It isn't as bad as many are making it out to be.
2. It could hardly be called pornographic...compared with the rest of the game.

I think the thing that pisses me off about it is that they are crying out for this to have an Adult Only rating due to the sexual content:
MATURE Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language

I guess people don't know their ratings. Really Rockstar should have denied it and simply said it was part of the ESRB Mature rating and has full rights to be there.

In other news, I deleted the Microman PSX game torrent. I refuse to seed for such greedy people. They get to 100 then jet off, sorry I thought the Micro-Community was less greedy. I guess it's living up to it's reputation.

You had it up a real long time. I think the "micro community" hasn't even been aware of it of late (I'd even forgot about it, but then I already own the game so it never was an issue), so it's more likely just the usual scummy leechers that come along later in a torrent's life.

Also I think some people just don't understand how torrenting is supposed to work. Still, it is voluntary, and if there's no other peers you really can't expect folks to stay seeding for too long when they only have so many slots to DL with on some of the dumber client programs (I certainly was there once).

You don't have the Magnepowers game, right? Later I shall return the favor and post it as a torrent, okay? :)

Leisure Suit Larry is a far more sexually explicit (and very, very crude) game out of the box as-is (I know because I had to test that crap title) than GTA's hack, and it got an M rating, no one batted an eye at that, so WTF?

Well, there's always been about 5 peers at any given time. You right though given my track record with anybody reading anything. However that one guy that was SUPPOSED to have been bidding on the Magne game managed to find some form of offense in it.

Usually I look at it that if I'm the last seed left I'll seed until another seed is born and then leave. I may reupload the torrent in some time.

Nope I don't have the Magne game. ^_^ I'd like to have it though.

WTF is what I give it I think the difference is the Leisure Suit Larry seemed to be cartoon antics and GTA has always been shoot stuff and kill people. Really, I don't care about sex in videogames that have other Mature content in it. (Its the random boobies that get me)
