Jul. 22nd, 2002 11:37 pmYay! I have Warcraft on this machine finally and I also picked up Digimon World 3. It was $20 so it was a good deal.
My review of the game...It's good...it's bad...
The good is that it's RPGesque. You have to go and complete events, build levels and gain money, buy weapons and armor...
The bad is that it near impossible to build up your Shinka bar, if you die you lose if...if you reload you lose it... bleh, also the load times on the screens could have been improved. The graphics are OK...there are places that should have been proof checked. The whole evolution thing is confusing, though you get your first shinka about level 5 and the first tech at around level 10 or so IN that shinka. So you have to be level 10 Enjemon to get the technique. To get partners you have to find these scientists then go and find the digimon with the DDNA...not too hard. The evade could be better, they seem to evade me more than I evade them. As for attributes..that's another bad...you get 5 techpoints per level and you use them at the gym...IF your digimon screws up the training...too bad...
Also the advice is incomplete, like what do I train Kotemon in...hrm...all they say is machine or something...great I don't even know where that is...
On another note, WhiteSord joins me. He's the model for WhiteSword from MicroCyber...another Beezlebumon figure...it's the 5in one..*KWEE!* Beezlebumon loves his pet Black Magician...
In other news, I've broken away from my Dreamcast and gotten back into my Playstation. My hunters license is going to run out soon..oh well...
I know my birthday that's coming up in about 2 weeks or so is going to be boring once again...don't even know why I should mention it....Yey..go me...now I'm 22...whoopee...big freakin' deal... I also hope they make the cake and don't buy one....those store bought cakes taste nasty.... And they have WAY to much icing on them...and it's the crap icing too...
I've also decided that a PS2 is my next system NOT a GC yet... WHY, well I was getting the GC for PSO, BUT...since I won't be playing that with anybody for a LONG time, maybe never, the FF11 is starting to look good. I can start out new on that.
FF11 also looks like a MMORPG rather than a TORPG (Team Online RPG) like PSO. I'm only hoping that Square won't charge a $10 mo. fee. That'd kill it for me... The HL is $15 for 3 mo, that's about $5 a mo..HEK it's not even that it's like $9 for about 3mo. $15 is just the max charge based on market fluctuations.
Knowing Square, they'll want money...
Though FFOnline is not how i wanted it to be. I wanted it to be like FF1 with redmages and whitmages running around etc. Oh yes update everything with all the races but...I've seen some of the costumes in FF11....NOT GOOD!
