私はえんぴつを見て手紙を書きます。

I'm still learning, however it's a big jump from where I was.. normally I'd stare and this sentence and see "pencil" and "Watashi" and correlate 'my pencil' or such...now I can READ it and know what it means..:D Though some of the kanji still elude my memory namely:
手紙
書く
来る

However I can read the other two....*sigh*
Next lesson is -nde, -tte, -ide, which are the "and more stuff comes next" like 。。見て。。。手紙を書きます。 "sees a something and does stuff with it" instead of 。。。見ます which is "sees something" [something hasn't been defined...]

-う、-る、-つ　＝　-って
-む、-ぬ、-ぶ　＝　-んで
-ぐ　＝　-いで
-す　＝　-して

An of course there are lots of exceptions like:
行く＝ 行って
来る＝　来て

I MUST NOT confuse 書く　and 来る when writing in romanji...
I will be able to read my Microman manga..I WILL...the words WILL make sense...

So from now on expect to see my entries peppered with Japanese as I reinforce my learning through use (and make mistakes)...feel free to respond as such.. (...and I only should be using formal stuff ans informal is really too complicated..^^)
