Use of minors for sexual purposes (minors by our definition at least) was generally seen as similar to keeping concubines or sexual slaves, so I don't think it completely falls into the same category, either.
That is true. However it sort of falls into the catagory, like how a knife falls both into swords and bladed object as well as kitchen eatery utensils.
It's the stigmatization and cyptification of sexual pleasure due to religious taboo that makes the matter so confusing.
That's what I hate about it, children are scarred because of the adults telling them that what happened was bad and that they should feel scared and fearful, rather than trying to soften it into a memory that can easily be forgotten.
]I don't get the age limit either, I think it should be based on an age gap up to certain ages, thus an 18 and 17 can get it on but not a 24 and a 16...[

There's all kinds of cases in nature that turns conventional fundamentalist "wisdom" on its ear.
And these are the times that the "scientists" choose to ignore the data and wave it off as "The seahorse is too alien..etc.." I frankly would like humans to be more like elephants, a core family group that helps each other and knows how to greive.
True that it's all political, but the human being seems to be a political creature.

Actually, hearing more about the tsunami I retract my casual statement and say. No problem about the tsunami hitting the bible belt, because when the animals leave SO ARE WE!!
It turns out the animals left the area of the tsunami a long time before it hit...humans didn't take the hint.
Heck, Christ himself said (if you believe he's more than a fictionalized portrayal tobegin with) that the End of Days would come within the lifetime of his own contemporaries...so much for infallibility, eh?
Maybe those contemporaries and their children have been keeping the bill paid on the "End of Days" ].]

I would argue the theory on matter, true it isn't generated from nothing however matter itself changes properties. A 15x15x15 box of sand weighs more than the same dimensioned box of feathers.
And Jesus had his issues as well, and he was hardly the first philosopher to state this kind of belief.

I think most religion is just plain nuts.
That's why I'd read Dean Koontz before I ever read the bible. The first paragraph and your mind is already screwed...At lwast Dean Koontz makes SOME sense...

it's the evidence that believing in more than one god is more natural than forcing people to believe in only one. I would say there is more evidence that humans are an alien creation than of god existing. I don't truly think of the universe as gods and goddesses because that's just silly. I think of it as giving forces a way to easily be visualized.
But not once have I had Jewish people tell me that I'm going to Hell. Fundamentalist Jews are rarer than fundy Xtians, you can go anywhere and find a fundy xtian (Just try Utah)...you have to LOOK for a Fundamentalist Jew...(or at least I have to)
They are the living embodiment of intolerance and hate.
Unfortunatly no laws exist to govern these people from breeding intolerance and hate.
I watched Mythbusters last night and they had a thing about Lucy Ball and underground WWII Japanese morse code bases. It got me to thinking... the US is the biggest most racist arrogant county in the world. What we did to Japanese Americans was racist, arrogant and hate filled...however because the government did it...it was OK..
No wonder everyone hates us...
I hate Outlook Express and the people who HAVE to use anything Microsoft...
Sure let all the fucking viruses into you computer.....see if I care...quit harassing me to fix it...
I go back to SCAD Sunday so I should be doing stuff....
