That's why it's fiction and it fan-fiction. I haven't played Angelique all that much but I know that Japan has certain restrictions on games ans that this is fan fiction. I also know that it's yaoi meaning that they probably aren't gay at all.
Also, If I read a fanfic about Picard and Worf together, I'd want to read about Star Trek more and increase my knowledge of the characters at why they might be together to begin with... Usually yaoi couple are ina relationship for a reason...
