Well, I now have Creatures 3 (again) and a new X-com game that..while it's fun the damn scientists voice is REALLY annoying...I tried to kill him in the intro but it didn't work...

So, I'm playing with my norns if I'm not trying to win clan wars in FFTA...

There's your problem right there...install a REAL OS like 2000 or 98 and then start complaining...otherwise just shut up...you ask for it...it's called XP for a reason..Because it doesn't work xp~~~~~~~! <-- yeah XP is an emoticon, not an abbreviation...

Hahaha, that's great ^_^ I hate XP too, damn thing's too colourful and blahblah. I miss ME, personally. :/ But 2K's doin' the job. Sorta.

?_? Miss ME? ME also is another one that is messed up....
Yeah...XP has too much graphics that eats up memory. And the fact it doesn't behave like Windows 2000 is disturbing...at least ME pretends to be 98 for all purposes... That's why I use 98...though 98se since my soundcard wouldn't install the 4 speaker drivers without it...

If I was to go back to one..I'd choose 98..
2000 is alright, it's my network OS like for Maya, and reading/writing Japanese and using Japanese programs and stuff...

XP is like a circus act that doesn't perform well...

ME worked for me :P It only crashed twice in the year I had it.
And it was the only OS that had the right Scanning and Camera Downloading software drivers. 2K and everything else needs this gh3y Zoom Browser. Ew >.< ME treats Compaq users well. Must be the Double Negative rule ;)

I usually get my scanning software from the website that makes the scanner...

OH! You use a namebrand computer? That's probably why...
Most name brands are...OK, but hte proprietary software thing and the hardware really messes users over...

I use a homemade system...so I know not of the Compaq...(Other than it's one of the worst computers to buy next to Pakard Bell)

Zoom Browser is the software that came with the camera, for users of Win 2K and whatever else that wasn't ME. And it's really bloated. It's basically the XP of Canon software. The ME software was much simpler and more efficient.
My scanning software is the same thing. The ME version was much simpler and more efficient, and now I get this crap thing that needs to be told everything, where as the other program did it's thing automatically, which was nice.

Oh..I use Adobe Photoshop for the digital cameras I use...
Just select Twain 32 and then aquire...it does the trick...

Nope. Won't work with Win2K. Trust me, I'm savvy enough to try some tricks to get things the way I want. However I haven't used PShop for it yet. I don't even scan into that one. I don't like importing for some reason. I used to do it for a while but it was... strange. I liked the Suite programs better. That and I don't PShop on this computer ;)

XP and ME just aren't made well... 2000 is the only way to go these days.

2000 and 98 I'd say, but 2000 for people who don't want 2 OSs...

I just hate the people who SWEAR by XP...it's garbage in my opinion...

Question is there anyway to upgrade Media Player 6.4 to Media player 9 with out the annoying extras? Like crappy skins and "Web Content"
