I've been increasingly alarmed by the number of free website hosts that are shutting down, minimizing space (www.50megs.com now gives out 12 MB to free members. Um?) or being merged into the horrible Yahoo/Geocities conglomerate.
Then there's homestead.
*shudder*
I know that not all homestead websites are horrible, but the ones I've seen so far are slow-loading, with terrible website design (each page is basically "a bunch of text, text links to subpages, maybe a jpeg") and that UGLY homestead banner.
I've been using http://www.freewebspace.net/ to look for free websites... So far, I'm sticking with Fateback (no banners at the moment, and 60 MB of space... they're supposedly going to implement a system where you can have multiple domains with them, each with 60 MB of space).
I might go with fateback...I'm not in a good mood right now and dealing with anything computer related is getting me edgy....
I may restart soon. I have to trim friends webpages....they were like "Do this for me" and I Oked it ...now it's more of a chore to keep the pages updated...I'll just include them on one of mine....I'm not in a good mood....
