How to cure a goldfish of spazzness

Well fishie had a pellet in his mouth and spit it out by the filter....well the filter sucked it up and fishie was going back and forth along the back of the tank and moving around the filter....
Solution:
I added 1 pellet to the tank near the filter which he saw and went for, and now he's doing normal grazing...:D

I guess he'll learn not to spit food out near the filter...
